The partners of the Improving Childcare network have developed country reports for a mutual exchange of knowledge on the organisational structure of each childcare system in the partnering countries.
The first chapter of these reports gives a general overview of the historical development, the social structure, the funding mechanisms, as well as institutions and structures involved in childhood support and care. Based on this information and a strengths and weaknesses analysis, the second part highlights the development of integrated and flexible childcare structures, emphasizing the role of the different actors involved and also on the underlying political strategies.
Finally the network presents conclusions, shares examples of good practice and gives recommendations for the further development including the optimization of networking and cooperation.
