Brecht is involved in several projects on family day care. He contributes to a project on community-based out-of-school care.
Brecht is involved in several projects on family day care.He supports the 'Childminders Academy', which is a collaboration with schools for adult education. He is also working on the project 'Building Strong Family Day Care', financed by the European Social Fund (ESF). This project has the aim to professionalize the family day care in the Flemish community in Belgium.
Besides that, Brecht contributes to a project on community-based out-of-school care. This project supports out-of-school provision for school-age children in building quality childcare. Currently, they are developing a DVD which shows the importance of professional community-based out-of-school care.
To conclude, Brecht is also involved with KIDDO, the pedagogical magazine for ECEC.
