









Michel Vandenbroeck is chairman of VBJK. He is working as professor for the department of Social Welfare Studies of Ghent University.

Dr. Jan Peeters is the coordinator of the Research and Resource Centre for Early Childhood Education and Care of the Department of Social Welfare Studies at the Ghent University (Belgium).
Caroline Boudry works on themes such as pedagogical documentation, nature in ECEC and language and multilinguism. She helped producing several publications, books and dvd's.

Wendy works on a project of the Brussels-Capital Region, a plan for ECEC in Brussels (Plan Crèches). She is also supporting a project on putting the social function of ECEC into practice.
Hester Hulpia is involved in projects on family support. She is also part of the editoral board of KIDDO, a pedagogical magazine for ECEC.

Brecht is involved in several projects on family day care. He contributes to a project on community-based out-of-school care.

Ellen is involved on projects on family day care. Themes she is working on are pedagogical documentation and multilinguism in ECEC. She is also involved with KIDDO, the pedagogical magazine for ECEC.
Ankie works on a project to realize the social function in ECEC. She is representing VBJK in the European DECET network and she is involved with the European magazine 'Children of Europe'.

Sandra is coordinator of several projects on family day care. She is also working on the development of meeting places for children and parents. Sandra is the editor in chief of KIDDO, the pedagogical magazine for ECEC.
Katrien is working on several projects, such as CoRe and WANDA. Themes she works on are community-based out-of-schoolcare and diversity and professionalism. She is co-coordinator of the DECET workpack professionalism and diversity.

Veroniek Willaert is in charge of the bookkeeping and answers incoming requests and phonecalls.


For many years Paul was active in Early Childhood Education and Care as a pedagogical director of the day care center of the Ghent University. Now he is sharing his expertise as a volunteer at the association VBJK.
