This document gives an overview of the current situation in terms of training paths and qualification levels in the  field of childcare in Belgium, Italy and Luxembourg. In addition, the transnational partners have reflected on professionalisation in childcare and the kind of childcare professionals we need in Europe in the future. An 'interview manual' (a questionnaire and its guidelines) for interviewing family day care applicants, with regard to accrediting their prior learning experiences is also presented. This report should then enable the reader to understand some of the key elements of childcare work.
